  • Downtown

    The heart of the city

The best area of Courtenay for commercial real estate has to be the downtown area. Shops restaurants, office spaces, and more are steps away from your doorstep. On the outer edge of the shopping district are several single-family homes backed against a forested riverbed. Residential homes are older builds that are usually one or two storeys high with a character look that is reminiscent of the 50s.

  • Courtenay East

    Something for everyone

This neighbourhood borders Comox and contains a mix of residential and commercial properties. Families enjoy this region for the high selection of single-family homes, quiet suburban streets, and proximity to shopping options.  The neighbourhood is centrally located between Downtown Courtenay and the township of Comox, making it one of the most convenient areas to settle down.  North Island College is also a prominent feature of this neighbourhood.

One of the most popular subdivisions in Courtenay East is Aberdeen Heights. The homes comprise mainly newer single-family home builds (post-2000). A couple of elementary schools are part of this area as well.

  • Courtenay West

    quiet country living

The largest neighborhood is on the western side of Courtenay, filled with serene forests and flowing creeks.  This area is primarily residential and rural, allowing for lots with expansive acreages to be obtained.

If you are dreaming of a farm, ranch, or quiet paradise out in the middle of nowhere, Courtenay West is your best bet. It isn’t as isolated as one might think, with most drives into downtown taking about ten minutes or so.  This makes it very desirable for those who enjoy countryside living but don’t want to be too far from civilization.

Ballard Fine Homes Developments

One of our fine developments within Courtenay is Northridge Estates. This subdivision backs against the Beaver Meadows Farm and wooded walking trails, providing a tranquil environment having nature so close to home.

  • My wife and I visited the Ballard show home a few months ago and I can’t say enough about Ballard Fine Homes. We are looking to build a home and we have spoken and toured many show homes and Ballard by far has the nicest product and service team in my opinion. This will be our third house and we want it to be the final one and they have really bent over backwards to help us achieve that. We were recommended by friends and we can’t thank them enough.
